National Economic Association
The National Economic Association (NEA) was founded in 1969 as the Caucus of Black Economists to promote the professional lives of minorities within the profession. In addition to continuing its founding mission, the organization is particularly interested in producing and distributing knowledge of economic issues that are of exceptional interest to promoting economic growth among native and immigrant African Americans, Latinos, and other people of color.
This organization reached out to our agency to audit and refresh its online digital presence. During the process, we identified ways to automate processes and make the site more engaging for potential new members.
The end result was a more modern, user-friendly website that better reflected the organization’s mission and values. The site was also better equipped to handle automated processes and engage users through social media. Overall, the NEA was extremely pleased with the outcome of the project and has seen a significant uptick in online activity since the site’s relaunch.
Website Design + Development
Our agency used WordPress to build out the new site for the National Economic Association. We chose this platform because it is user-friendly and relatively easy to manage, even for those with limited technical skills. In addition, WordPress offers a wide range of plugins and themes that can be used to customize the look and feel of a site, which was important to the NEA since they wanted their site to reflect their brand identity.
Strategy + Consulting
As part of our work with the National Economic Association, we also developed a digital strategy that would help them achieve their goals of growing their online presence and engagement. This strategy included recommendations for content creation, social media, and email marketing.
One key recommendation was to create content that would be of interest to their target audience. This meant creating blog posts and articles that addressed topics such as economic growth, entrepreneurship, and career advice.
